Feeling lost in the thick of life? Can't navigate this path by yourself?
As I look outside the window this morning I am reminded of our absolute need for Christ; the fog is synonymous with the troubles, the trials, the tests, and all of the other junk that fills up our lives. It is hard to see through all of the fog of this life and see what is really important, what lies ahead, Whose hands we are really in. We get so caught up with what we are doing that we take our eyes off the road, and we lose our way in all this fog. We need to remember Who our navigations system is, our spiritual GPS so to speak. He can guide us through all of it, nothing is too much for Him.
It is often hard to submit fully to Christ; we have been taught from a young age that independence is important, but when it comes to our lives here, full dependence on Christ is essential for survival. We need Him, and there is no way around that. Without Him, we are lost; one may be able to find their way through the fog for a while, but ultimately a life without Christ is a life without a true hope, a life without direction. What is one to live for if they have no hope, if they cannot find their way through the fog of life?
We are placed here for one reason, and that is to bring glory and honor to Him, to praise Him for all He has done in our lives, and to spread this Good News to those around us. He is our Light, our Beacon in this fog, and He will guide us through. It is our job to recognize this light, and reflect it to those around us so that they may also find their way through life's troubles. We are not in this alone, we are literally surrounded by people going through trials and troubles, their own figurative fog, but we have a hope in Him. He will guide us through!
Daily Verse:
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow your righteous laws.
~ Psalm 119:105-106
Allow His example, His life, His word to be the lamp and the light to guide you through the fog of life. Recognize that we are not alone, that we have hope, and assurance that He is by our side, and with Him, anything is possible. Keep your head up, live your life, and allow Him to navigate!
